Most recently finished producing, directing, and “Dance of Death,” which has been screened in numerous festivals and will next be seen in the 2006 Whitney Biennial. I am currently putting togethera feature length documentary called Cornbelt Caravan. I have also edited projects for over 20 clients in the last four years, including GreenMap, a NYC environmental organization, and the Obie Award winning performance artist Bill Talen, aka Reverend Billy.. For more film credits, including awards, see below. Client contact:: Brian Drolet, 917-701-4281.
Adjunct Professor, Gallatin School of Individualized Study, New York University. 2000-present. I developed and currently teach the course entitled: “Shifting Focus: Video Production for Community Activists.” This course combines an academic approach- for understanding the institutions that currently dominate the mainstream media- with a hands-on approach for exploring alternative media strategies. We utilize the latest video production tools in collaboration with community activist organizations to help them get their stories out... The course has become a favorite of Gallatin students, is consistently over-enrolled, and I have received outstanding reviews from students. Contact: Stephen Duncombe at 212-998-7370.
