WORK HISTORY
Independent TV/Film Producer/Editor, 2000-present.
Over the past eight years, I have worked producing, shooting, and editing digital video. Projects have ranged from political documentaries that have been screened around the world, to experimental wedding videos for friends and family, to the occasional reel cut for an aspiring actor or other creative. My most recent credit was as a director and editor on "Finding Bolivar's Heir," a television program featuring BBC reporter Greg Palast interviewing Hugo Chavez, and investigating the tumultuous situation in Venezuela. My previous work, “Dance of Death,” has been screened arond the world, and was exhbited at the 2006 Whitney Biennial. I have edited projects for over 20 clients in the last four years, including GreenMap, a NYC environmental organization, and the Obie Award winning performance artist Bill Talen, aka Reverend Billy. I currently teach two courses at NYU: “Shifting Focus: Video Production for Community Activists,” and "Television and Dissent: The contested terrain of the cathode ray." FILM AND TELEVISION CREDITS
Finding Bolivar's Heir, 2006, 28 min.- Wrote and produced this 28 minute program that analyzes the current political situation in Venezuela. Featuring BBC reporter Greg Palast and substantial interviews with President Hugo Chavez.
Dance of Death, 2004, 28 min.- Wrote, produced, edited and narrated this program on the Iraqi occupation. Various producers and independent journalists from Iraq contributed additional footage.
Puppetista, 2001, 15 min- Wrote, Directed, shot and Edited short film on the use of art, specifically puppets, at radical political protests.
9.11, 2001, 28 min.- Co-produced and co-edited this television program about the terrorist bombings of 2001 and their impact on New York City and the country.
Visions of Quiche, 2000, 28 min. Wrote, directed, shot and edited this program that follows a group of eye-care physicians and nurses as they provide free medical care to indigenous people in the highlands of Guatemala.
Showdown in Seattle, 1999, 150 min. Helped shoot and edit this 5 part television series about the anti-WTO protests in Seattle in 1999.
Electronic Voting Machine, 2004, 3 min- Edited this music video for the “Billionaires for Bush,” a political satire group and media-pranskter collecive.

Dance of Death –. Selected for the Swing State Film Festival by Rooftop Films. Selected, along with the rest of the “Shocking and Awful” series to air at the 2006 Whitney Biennial.
Puppetista- Honorable Mention, Vermont International Film Festival, 2001.
9.11 was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2001, and the Margaret Mead film festival in 2002. It was also seen throughout Europe during 2002, and has received wide critical acclaim.
Showdown in Seattle was shown at the Margaret Meade Film Festival, the Human Rights Watch Film Festival and the Austin film festival in 2000.

INTERESTS
Alternative, independent media. I have worked on numerous collaborative video productions as part of Paper Tiger Television and the Independent Media Center. I am also an avid skier and cyclist, I have an abiding interest in Eastern philosophy and religion, and I play the guitar. I love to cook.
